Finally, I got back into hooking and decided that I was going to try this Minion pattern from Handcrafts of Joy. The Bee’s little brother likes, is obsessed with Minions and she asked if I could make one for him for his birthday.
I used Red Heart Super Saver and I am not loving working with this yarn. The colors pop but the yarn feels very harsh. I know I sound like a yarn snob but after working with the Toboggan, I think I need to be a little more selective about what makes it;s way into my crafting space.
I just need to work up the eyes and this will be done in time for his birthday.
Not pictured but I’d like to share:
a gift for mom.
I have been working up a little something that I hope she likes. I can share that it’s bulky yarn and her favorite color.
Also, a something for The Librarian. He asked for a scarf but we haven’t picked yarn yet. He wanted some kind of Alpaca blend and I readily agreed (especially after fighting with that Red Heart!).
What’s on your WIP piles? Do you have some FOs? Tag me Instagram (I’m on there as @sayitrahshay) and I will check it out! Don’t forget to follow my Instagram feed for pictures of mom’s project.
Get hooked!
