4. Garden
When work had a garden, I stayed far, far away. Two former co-workers worked the garden and it seemed so time-consuming and overwhelming that I was not trying to get involved. Now that I have a garden at home, I am loving that I of this former kill all the green growing things clan now has thriving plants!
I plan to get my tomato bucket list going (read that list here) but we also planted corn, edamame, cabbage and berries. What a random assortment of things but these are things that we already eat and wanted to see how they grow.
The backyard is shaping up nicely and going from a wild and overgrown, weed filled and full of bugs to tamer and chill and it’s been a pleasure working it and watching it change.
It is officially July and I can’t believe it myself. I usually keep mental lists and that doesn’t change this month with the exception that I am being a little more verbal since I have a new competition that I am blogging about as it approaches in August. Here’s to you rocking out your goals.
The year is moving much too quickly, but I like the idea that July can be a reset month
Time does go extremely fast. You should add fruit picking. We did blueberries one year and it was great. We had muffins for days.
I’ve been having dog-fever also lately. Doesn’t help that my closest cousin has a few cuties of her own and she’s always talking about them. It’s really time I get a dog!
I like that July is a starting point for the rest of the year – I will definitely be hitting the reset button!
