Today I grabbed size 17 needles (I use Boye Aluminum Knitting Needles 14” – Size 17) and a skein of mega chunky yearn (I used Bernat Mega Bulky Yarn 88029 Mocha Brown
) and whipped up a little scarf.
“Little” I say since the scarf is only about 2 feet long. It’s really heavy; this size 7 weight yarn ain’t nobody’s joke! Since I ran out of this color, I think I may bind it off and give it to one of my library littles.
Super chunky yarn + size 17 needles equal a super quick scarf for a child or neck warmer for an adult. #chunkyknits #superbulky #yearofmaking A photo posted by Rachee Fagg (@sayitrahshay) on
This project worked up really quickly; I only wish I had more yarn to make it a wee bit longer. I made up this pattern. I cast on 8 stitches and knit one, purl one across. Then I reversed and did purl one, knit one across to create seed stitch.
