So far this year I have been able to attend four major conferences: PLA (Public Library Association), BEA (Book Expo America), The Digital Family Summit and BlogHer. A ton of workshops and, in spite some of my Fagg Woman Whining, each conference was a terrific learning experience.
I especially loved The Digital Family Summit as The Bee was able to attend. The conference was a fantastic experience, well run and just an amazing opportunity for us to spend the weekend together. And it also served as an opportunity for her to see what it is that I am doing when I wear my “blogger” hat. Of course The Bee has been interested in attending another conference and I am excited that we have been picked to be social media ambassadors for the Power Up Weekend!
My friend, Uneeka Jay aka the Power Mommy, has put together a group of dynamic women who are going to share their thoughts, ideas and knowledge during a day of networking and discussion.
And the Bee and I are so thrilled to be a part of this group of women!
This one day conference is full of dynamic speakers, a host of wonderful sessions and a who’s who of social media icons. The best part…it all seems geared towards mothers of tweens and teens.
Right up our alley!
To see the list of speakers, check out the Power Up Weekend site and stay tuned for more info as it comes from The Bee and I.
Feeling Powerful!
