What is it about juice, in a box, that makes my daughter go wild? My teen LOVES sipping juice from a pouch and one can be sure to find boxes or pouches all over our house. Not cool, especially when the only half the juice is consumed. Sure; juice boxes can be refrigerated but spilling can occur. Thank goodness for new Capri Sun Big Pouches. These are juice boxes which are able to be closed and popped back into the fridge.

With the return of the new school year I was thrilled to see these new juice boxes. Our schedules included rushing to school, rushing home and rushing back and forth,. With Capri Sun Big Pouch we are able to keep a snack available as we work through the day. Packing a snack is a new thing. It has honestly taken until this last year of middle school to get a system in place that allowed for both of us to remember snacks after school.

One of the reasons we have been so organized is due to a new thing in our family: re-purposing. The Bee and I have been reusing and re-purposing things in our home to make our day and schedules flow better. We found some things on Pinterest that we liked the look of and recreated them to use at home. I was sharing this with Effin Guy, my boyfriend and hipped me to a show called American Pickers on the History Channel. Mike Wolfe, creator and star of American Pickers on History, goes around the country buying antiques and collectibles.  Effin Guy always hit flea markets and antique shops looking for items and got me into it.

A few months ago I re purposed a window frame and most recently I re-purposed some frames (This post will be live this week).

The idea of creating something new from what may be considered unwanted is powerful. I feel creative and get to flex my crafty muscles and love what I’ve been coming up with. Here is a preview of one way I re-purposed a frame!

You can get a chance to meet Mike Wolfe, creator and star of American Pickers on History! See the video below for contest information. Contest winners and 3 guests will meet and do a half day pick with Mike Wolfe, creator and star of American Pickers! Winners will also get a pickers kit which will include a Messenger Bag, Magnifying Glass, Gloves, Bandanas, Flashlights, Journal, Pen, T-shirt, Kid Pickers Book, Carabineers.

We recreated our own pickers kit with one of the bags we snagged from a conference, a notebook and pen for note taking, bandannas we made and scarves. (I also threw in some hand sanitizer because of the ick factor!)

Enter here for your chance to meet Mike Wolfe, creator and star of American Pickers on History.

Follow Capri Sun Big Pouches on Facebook and Twitter for more tips on re-purposing and refreshment. Good luck and stay tuned for all kinds of re-purposed treasures!
