Happy Sunday all!
Here is the Rundown for the week that was.
The plan was to run daily, an effort to try to close all of the rings on my watch. Side note: People talk about the cult of Peloton but yo…they’ve got nothing on folks drinking the Apple products flavored Kool-aid. Ker-thunk! I’ve gladly jumped on the bandwagon with gusto.
Anywho, my plan was to move something everyday. I actually got three days of running and one day with Fitness plus by Apple.
Runs
I ran three days.
Tuesday I crawled out of bed at 4:30 AM to join some of the Philly BGR runners for four miles through the city. It was a new to me route and I loved it! It was a challenge but there was a nice flat portion at the end.
Wednesday I joined the WOW Wednesday group for a hump day hustle. Paced with L for an easy 5K.
Sunday was the long run and got in six miles through the hilly burbs. So! Many! Hills!
Other workouts
I did some much needed stretching on Saturday. I got a three month trial of Apple’s Fitness plus and have been trying to use it as much as possible to decide if I should keep the service. I’m leaning towards yes but my friend Lisa was sharing her thoughts about the Peleton app and I may have to give them a play.
Races On the horizon
Virtual Hot Chocolate Minneapolis 15k: 4/10
Virtual Shofuso Cherry Blossom 5K: the week spanning April 10 – April 18
BGR Get Fit 5K: 4/17
Virtual Coeur d’Alene Half Marathon: 5/30
My goal for April is to complete 75 running miles and to add some more stretching. So while I ran a total of 14.17 miles this week, today was technically my first April run and I have 6.37 towards my 75 mile goal.
Rundown
- 14.17 miles this week.
- Stretching: one session
Feeling positive about the three shorter races, not so positive about the half. Working towards my goal of 75 miles should give me enough training runs to get comfortable about the half. My new night routine allows for more stretching and I just got a FedEx notification about a race packet on its way so that’s making me feel another bit of excitement.
Will you be moving something this week? Let me know!
See you on The Drive!
