Movie Madness: Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Divergent

Dating a self-proclaimed comic book nerd and having a child who loves action movies, I have to say that the movie but has hit me and I am kind of looking forward to the newest Marvel movies. I wasn’t a fan of the first Captain America movie but have changed my tune a bit about the sequel, Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Unlike the original movie, Captain America: The Winter Soldier takes place in modern-day New York picking up after the events from the Avengers movie. An attack on a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague throws Rogers into a web of intrigue that places the whole world at risk.

For Christmas I gifted The Bee The Divergent Series Complete Box Set. She spent most of her vacation with her nose buried in the books. Her interest was piqued when we saw a trailer for the upcoming movie for Divergent, a trailer which even had me wanting to re-read the book.

In a few short weeks the wait will be over and there are a few people in my home (ok, me!) excited to visit this world in which people are divided into district factions based on human virtues.
