A few months ago I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and was truly shocked by what I saw. You see, in my mind’s eye I am still that young, fresh faced girl with laugh lines that grow faint. Instead I saw a haggard person with dry looking skin and I didn’t quite recognize the person in the mirror.
I knew where my issue lied. Lately, my normal routine of skin care consists of cleaning my face with whatever soap we have on hand and slapping on some moisturizer. When I do take the time to pamper myself and I DO splurge with specialized creams and solutions tailor made for facial care I find that I have a hard time justifying the purchase and time for myself . There seems to be so many other things that demand my attention and skin is just skin…right?
So when I was asked to try our Makari I was kind of excited but wary. I don’t always do well with new products for my face, despite the claims. My skin is not exactly sensitive but after a failed skin care regiment when I was in high school that left me blotchy, ashen and scarred, I’ve been careful.
Makrai is different. I was a bit turned off by the advertising that it was a skin lightener but really all if did was brighten the blotchy, picked at portions of my skin. The system is easy to use…I wash with a lovely exfoliating soap which seems to find every trouble spot on my face. After i gently dry (I tend to be rough as I’m in a hurry most mornings) I apply the skin repairing serum. Once that dries I add the moisturizer which is light and doesn’t leave me feeling shiny. The system makes me feel luxurious and worth it and even the bottles are shaped in a way that makes it easy to grab and use. The scent is not overpowering and a little bit goes a long way.
But, you don’t have to take my word for it. Pictures speak where I can’t and I invite you to a look at how my skin has grown, well, lovelier.
