SOCS: Pegging Out

Say it Rah-shay By Oct 30, 2011 3 Comments

r’s note this post probably should not be read by my dude, so love, please skip this entry and we’ll chat all about it later. But since I KNOW you are going to read it anyway, please to enjoy!

S’alright then:
Today I am fully embracing, enjoying and loving the totally stupid and totally silly crush that I have on Simon Pegg. I am someone’s mother but when I see him on the telly, see him in my news feed and don’t let me catch a tweet I get all giggly, blush and the toothy grin that I makes me feel like I’m a teen again is plastered all over my face.

Writing this post is almost painful; I can’t really tell what I’m typing because I feel like someone will look over my shoulder and utter Really? And then there is the stupid grin. Its the shy kind, the I really want to tell someone but I know they will think this is dumb but who cares but I do kind.
Yes really.
Really, really.
Comedy Central did me a solid this weekend by showing my two favorite Pegg Out movies: Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. As I watched these movies again (You’ve got red on you, He’s not Judge Judy and executioner!) I thought about this crush. He’s pasty, he’s married, he’s a nerd. But its just something about him that makes me go all gaga and once again I’m 13 putting on too much Wet and Wild lipstick hoping, just hoping the guy from across the street can appreciate the hotness that comes in different color Reeboks, rolled up pants and contacts instead of glasses.
Because I can’t indulge in my on-screen crush (damn you stalker laws and dignity!) I can concentrate all of my time and attention to my real life crush. Who is also pasty, married to his job and a nerd.
I dig my dude and he’s all the crush that I need.

I like Simon Pegg too. I can’t call it a crush but I definitely like his humor, nerdiness, and irreverence.

I think I’m going to join the Stream of Consciousness Sunday but I need to re-do my blog so I can open it again (I have it set to private and even those who asked for an invite seldom if ever comment on it anymore . . . too much work I guess).

Stopping in from SOC…I don’t know who Simon Pegg is but I get being in love with nerdy guys! 🙂

  3. Aw man, I LOVED this post! It was so funny and playful and the Wet n Wild? So funny. I have to admit I don’t know who Simon Pegg is but I love that THAT is your crush. I’ve been mocked for my crush on Elijah Wood but it’s MY crush and who cares what anybody thinks.

Your turn! Tell it to Rah-shay!
