God’s Pocket
When Mickey’s crazy step-son Leon is killed in a construction ‘accident’, nobody in the working class neighborhood of God’s Pocket is sorry he’s gone. Mickey tries to bury the bad news with the body, but when the boy’s mother demands the truth, Mickey finds himself stuck in a life-and-death struggle between a body he can’t bury, a wife he can’t please and a debt he can’t pay.
I am loving Christina Hendricks in the Sundance TV show Hap and Leonard and really dug her as Joan on Mad Men (also streaming on Netflix!). Her, along with Philip Seymour Hoffman seems like way too much amazingness for one movie but I will be watching!
I realized I left out the show I am most looking forward to, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. This was not a mistake. I will share all of my Kimmy love as the premeire of season two comes closer.
