It’s a holiday here in my neck of thye woods, you may have heard about a little something called Independence Day? Instead of getting excited about barbecues, corn on the cob and other appropiate behavior I am blissfully enjoying some down time. I love people but I also love my time alone. No demands on my time, no one looking expectantly at me to know what to do and its just lovely. I love my job but after such an emotionally draining week I am OK with some quiet time.
My whole weekend will not be starring me as antisocial shrew. I don’t expect to spend the whole weekend holed up in my house and alone but it’s just a wonderful time to catch up and read the books that I want, read the books that I have been waiting to read and am just thrilled. Even after I get finished with this post I am going to actualy get dressed and do something outdoors.
This year, without a kid to force me to be socialable I am ready to do absolutely nothing. The Beeis with The Dad and I am OK not doing anything other than working on my stage 2 decubitus and reading my books. Watching my movies, indulging in some junk food. Totmorrow I will head out with the masses to see the firworlks nut for now I am going to turn another page, grab some water and enjoy this time alone.
Plus I get to walk around in various states of dress without hearing from The Bee…EWWW!
Relaxing,

There’s nothing wrong with down time and being a bit anti-social. I love moments of anonymity, which I rarely get anymore. So enjoy your books and consider rocking the house Rusky Business style.
