Day Three: What are your guilty pleasures?
Guilty pleasure (This definition is from Wikipedia…don’t judge me!)
A guilty pleasure is something one enjoys and considers pleasureable despite feeling guilt for enjoying it. The guilty involved is sometimes simply fear of others discovering one’s lowbrow or otherwise embarrassing tastes. Fashion, video games, music, movies and junk food can be examples of guilty pleasure.
On with it.
Simon Pegg. Rrrrrrr!
America’s Next Top Model Marathons. Yes, I know who wins and will be going home but so what!
Haagen Daaz Vanilla Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. When I can find it and probably the cause of the extra Rachee that greets you. That aside its a mouthgasm!
Popsicles. I like the jokes on the sticks.
Ginger snaps and juice. Reminds me of school snacks.
Visiting libraries when I go on vacation. I like to see what other people are doing.
Reading People magazine. Yes, yes. I chide my mother for her love of the gossip rags but I really do kinda sorta care about what Renee, Jennifer, Beyonce and Angelina are up to.
Craft books. Cause one can never have too many!
Thrift shops and yard sales. One woman’s junk is this woman’s treasure.
Hudson Hawk. Danny Aiello and Bruce Willis singing standards. James Colburn as a bad guy (natch!) and a preposterous plot about Leonardo DiVinci!
Strictly Ballroom. Bad tans, over the top costumes. The accents! The music! Sigh!
Hamlet 2. It really is a terrible movie but I love Steve Coogen’s clueless Dana Marschz and who cannot dig Rock Me Sexy Jesus?
