What fresh hell is this?
Michael Nutter is proposing raising the prices for meter parking in the city.
The explanation is so that people can utilize the parking lots and not circle the block looking for $1 parking spots.
Huh?
It’s a plan to ease Center City congestion. Perhaps if every major street wasn’t being torn up (how many more buildings can Chestnut Street support?) , city vehicles were not parked at all of the meters or on the first three floors of the public parking lots and parking in a lot did not require a second mortgage people would not mind not sitting at a meter all day.
