I have been one lazy, mother – shut your mouth! – this week and had to push myself to get my workout in today. Because I was equally berating myself for not working out all week and had a crappy week realizing that I am a fallible being, I wanted to do something that would cause some type of physical transformation to myself that was legal and not screwy. For my workout I hit shuffle and these are the songs that came up.*
Vivian Green’s Emotional Rollercoaster AND Gotta Go, Gotta Leave
Diana Krall, Seal AND Dionne Warwick’s Walk on By (Forget that this song came up three times. More importantly: I have Dionne Warwick on my iPod twice**? Really?)
Billie Holiday’s Travlin’ Light
Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings’ Something’s Changed
Norah Jones Come Away With Me
Oh yeah, and I forgot my favorite…although not sure if it qualifies a s a Torch Song: Jazmine Sullivan’s Bust Your Windows.
Not that I’ve ever done that.
Moving on
What the ham?
First of all, why aren’t men wailing and moaning about love lost?
Second, I need to purge some songs.
Oh well, workout done; not the five I was aiming for but close enough and I did some yoga. My back is already protesting but I feel good and I am listening to Diana Krall’s greatest hits as I type and get ready for the week.
Creating a new play list,

*Due to the sappy nature of some, I forwarded through them. I needed to get my workout on, not weep through my laps.
**I like the Do You Know the Way to San Jose
