Reasons My Teen Cracks Me Up

Say it Rah-shay By Apr 13, 2014 36 Comments

This post was originally going to be an ode to my teen’s hot and cold mood swings but the words for THAT post just didn’t flow. I could go on and on about my teen driving me nuts but there are moments which make me realize that it’s not all bad and I  exhale.  The Bee, for sure, causes me lots of head shaking moments but really she is a wonderful kid who constantly surprises me.

Such as:

Bee motor

During the Please Touch Museum’s annual Storybook Ball she jumped on this motorcycle and showed me how she would ride it is she were a stunt person.

Bee Smize

We totally watch too much America’s Next Top Model. The Bee decided that she was going to ‘smize’ during her pose in this sweatshirt from Effin Guy’s store.

The Bee Cake

We attended the City of Hope’s Let Them Eat Cake event and The Bee was in her world eating all kinds of cake. Here we posed next to a bridal cake from V’s Cupcakery Specialty Cupcakes. She told me this was the best night ever and grinned as we ate even more cake.

These two selfies (don’t leave your phone unattended around teens!).

This post was inspired by the novel Reasons My Kid Is Crying by Greg Pembroke who captures frustrating yet hilarious parenting moments through perfectly captioned photos of unhappy kids. Join From Left to Write on April 15 we discuss Reasons My Kid Is Crying. As a member, I received a copy of the book for review purposes.
