About A Blog…Ay-chill-lees, knitting and Cake!

Say it Rah-shay By Apr 13, 2014 25 Comments

As I was browsing through the interwebs, I came across a few articles, sites and posts which fed my need to procrastinate. I thought I should share them with you but almost didn’t because I had trouble coming up with a name for sharing links. I COULD wait until Friday (Five for Friday) but it’s Sunday and I am way too impatient to wait another five days. Also, I don’t want to be beholden to one day a week or what I can share. I might think of seven things on Tuesday or three on Thursday. It’s crazy, yo! I probably shouldn’t make this a thing but I want to and the more I think about it, the more this is going to be a thing so just roll with me…s’alright?

about a blog

Anywho, you all know may know that I am corny clever and even though I was worried that I was making this a “thing” instead of letting it roll I was working hard to find something clever  corny to present the links that I think you should read.  I was watching the MOVIE* version of Nick Hornsby’s book About A Boy and silently thought, “Eureka!” I wanted to channel Jenny from The Bloggess despite not being as hip as she is. Aside…did I tell you about the time I met her? We were besties for like 12 minutes…see picture for proof.

BFFL12M!
Please ignore the obvious hair issues I am experiencing!

So here is where the interwebs sent me this week:

Mom and I were watching Wheel of Fortune this week and saw the worst contestant ever! He still won and made it to the bonus round but it was totally cringe worthy and awful to see.

The Bee and I got to attend the City of Hope’s tenth anniversary Let Them Eat Cake Contest and we had a blast! Over 40 kinds of cake, beautiful dresses and decorative table settings.

Brandi from Mama Knows It All wrote about the Goodwill (my happy place!)

I happened upon a Twitter Party and found this blog from Little eLit Children. I feel inspired to finish up my summer reading AND fall planning!

Fadra, like, totally wrote such a cool post channeling the 80’s!

*NOT the TV version which cast Minnie Driver as Fiona? C’mon!

** I feel like a poser ’cause I just do not get why Star Wars is a thing. It’s not Star Trek!
