Or yes, yet ANOTHER scarf thing. My obsession with bulky yarn is still a thing. Probably because it’s a one skein, get it done, kind of thing. Almost instant gratification and that satisfaction that comes from actually seeing that ball of yarn transformed into something. This week I tackled a pattern I found through a search on Ravelry, The Wham, Bam Thank You Lamb Neckwarmer and I am quite pleased with the results. The pattern comes from Insakitty and can be found on her Ravelry page (don’t forget to add me as a friend; I’m on there as sayitrahshay!) The pattern calls for Lion Brand’s Thick and Quick which I was a bit worried about using. Aside from the quick work up, Thick and Quick is a super bulky yarn and can feel heavy and cumbersome. This pattern produces a luscious neckwarmer which is warm and a delightful addition for you scarf game. The pattern also calls for size 13 needles. I started with size 13 double points which were a bit of a challenge to work with. I have to remember to make sure I didn’t knit my stitches off of the needle
I eventually switched to straight needles to complete this project.
The result: A gorgeous, squishy neckwarmer as modeled by my awesome student worker Tiffany (who also blogs). Even The Bee told me that this neckwarmer was really nice and that she was proud of my work. Wow!
