Oh snap! Christmas is less than three weeks away and I have a ton of gifts to make! While I was procraftinating (that’s a real word!) I found a few things that I would not say no to under my tree, in my stocking, on my chair at work…oh wait. Here are some things that I think the yarn lovers in my life (or yours) may enjoy.
Books
Like many a yarnie, I have my fair share of books and patterns but there is always room for one more!

Supplies
Many a yarnie has that one hook or needle that they love but it always gets misplaced. Be nice and get them some extras! Note…light up hooks will be good for working with dark yarn or a movie theater or at night.

Notions
Honestly, I have only just started using stitch markers and could kick myself for not using them before! They are lovely and make working in the round so much easier!

Bags
I’m fine with one of the huge bags I got from an event but love the look of “proper” knitting bags. The ones below seem to have an opening for yarn (which would make tangles a thing of the past!)

Yarn.
Just get them a gift cert. Kidding!
I have been loving thicker yarns for quick completion of projects. Sashay is good for ruffles and a little more sass.

Or visit local yarn stores.
In the Philadelphia area, I have always had a good reception at Stash Knits in Ardmore, Loop on South Street or Hidden River Yarns in Manayunk. My work schedule doesn’t permit me to partake in any of the classes but each time I’ve gone to the store I have never felt pressure to buy anything or unwelcome.
By no means is this a complete list; this are just a few ideas that may appeal to that special yam lover in your life and ease some of shopping anxiety. For all my knitters and hookers, what am I missing on this list? What would you gift (or want yourself!)?
Was this list helpful? Share it on Twitter if you please!

Thanks for reading and happy shopping!
I wouldn’t know what to do with a ball of yarn, so a book would be necessary for me!! I’ve always wanted to learn how to knit or crochet.
Great ideas! I will have to keep them in mind for my Mom!
I agree with you. As a yarn lover any of these things would be a big thrill to find under the tree.
Great ideas!! My mom would love this!
My Mom is a yarn lover and would be thrilled with anything from your list here.
