The purpose of this blog was to write all about my weight loss goals but really I have not been as diligent about the good and the bad with my journey/struggle. Through Twitter I found the blog Wine to Weightlifting and saw a hop she had created for December goals.
At first I wasn’t going to participate. As soon as I set goals I start screwing around and fall off of any wagon but then I thought why the heck not and set a few for the month. I saw a goal sheet like this on another blog and liked it so much that I made one of my own!
My goals:
Squat a day
A Facebook page I follow shared this and I thought why the heck not.
I have actually been pretty faithful to these squats and do them while I’m making coffee or watching television.
Join me!
Drink more water
This should be a no brainer but I won’t lie: there are days when I forget to drink water. I drink soda, coffee, tea but water…ha!
My goal is 8 glasses a day. Four water bottles or one of those huge bottles from Whole Foods.
I can not find a picture online but know that it is huge.
Increasing Flexibility
I really want to do a split.
It seems the ultimate in flexibility and I think this routine is designed to give me a sense of hope but also a sense of my body. It takes all of ten minutes and I do feel a difference when I am siting “legs like a pretzel.”
I can also do this while watching television and do it while watching my morning show and in the evening right before bed.
I need new sneakers and I kinda like these Five Finger Shoes.
They do make me think of monkeys but I can put my monkey loathing aside for a while and hit the track.
Getting more rest is a hard one because I like to mess around at night.
Yeah.
I admit it.
I tend to stay up for no other reason than I can.
I’ve made it a point to keep my room clean and head up at a certain hour. I have been reading, listening to a podcast or music and have been drifting off at a decent hour.
Eating breakfast
Since my coffee maker is automatic and all I have to do is press a button, I’ve been making it a abit to do things while I wait for my coffee to brew. But after I’ve brewed it and had my first sip, I’ve been eating a light breakfast, Nothing fancy; a bowl of cereal most days but it helps me not be crabby and starving by the time my storytime is ending. I have to be more consistent though. Some days the bed just calls and I lounge and lay until I am thisclose to being late and then bang! I’m late!
Well I have 22 days left to keep this up.
I’ll check back in and let you know how it went!
What are your goals for the rest of the month?
Share with them in the comments!

Good luck with the goals this month!! Check out my friend, Bethany, at projectwhitespace.com; she is attempting the splits goal, too!
As far as breakfast, it is SO important!! 🙂 I find if I eat cereal, I end up being hungry an hour later. Have you tried eggs/protein in the AM?
