Presented by Mami Innovative Media, this is a sponsored post. I am a Kmart #BackToSchool blogger, though all opinions are my own.

My Facebook feed was up in arms about a commercial for “My Limo” by Da Rich Kidzz and I was all prepared to join the chorus of naysayers until I actually watched the video. Hearing the catchy chorus and watching some kids dancing in an age appropriate manner, I realized that this video is not so bad. It’s actually a cute and catchy tune about going back to school.

During my work day I am surrounded by children who approach going back to school with a variety of emotions. Some are looking forward to the return to school but most are not. Any help to make school a positive is welcome and My Limo is a catchy way to help change minds.

As a mom of teen I actually like Da Rich Kidzz. Sometimes rap can be so negative and with this group I can feel good about my daughter listening to this song, watching the video and checking out the back to school fashion. My daughter is at the age where she is clinging to her youth while navigating being a young lady and there are not always many positive things available that we both are comfortable with. I feel confident that we can enjoy Da Rich Kidzz, hear their fun and positive message and approach back to school with less anxiety.

But, you don’t have to take my word for it.

Watch the video and let me know what you think.

I love back to school time! This video is super cute. We have always loved Kmart, but the new commercials are making us love them even more!

Being in the business of GD, Marketing and Advertising, I can more than appreciate the new branding direction of Kmart. Let’s face it KMart blue light special is the biggest thing I remember about Kmart. It was a place my 83 year old mother could get her elastic waist pants. These new ads really reflect the KMart that really exists today! Young, fresh, trendy and hip. Great job!

  3. I actually thought the video was really cute. I can’t remember the last time I heard a rap song that I listened to in its entirety.

Your turn! Tell it to Rah-shay!
