A Picture Walk

Say it Rah-shay By Jun 19, 2015 6 Comments

Part of my weight loss program and a group I joined on Facebook requires me to walk at least 20 minutes a day. I’ve been almost successful; some days I just don’t wanna and don’t. In the past this would have been the catalyst to stop walking and indulge in all of the junk. Other days I feel like moving and here are some photos from walks in my neighborhood that I’ve snapped with my phone.

Plus walking through the neighborhood is one of 101 in 1001  – something I tend to ignore – so level up!

Here are a few snapshots from the last week:

An empty playground. This place is packed in the evenings.

I have to say that I’ve been enjoying walking through my neighborhood. Sometimes I’ll get a greeting from a fellow walker. Sometimes the head nod from a neighbor. I’ve been so focused on what is WRONG with Philly that my walks allow me to see some of the beauty.

What are you seeing on your walks?

Sounds like a nice relaxing time. I enjoy doing this in my neighborhood also, funny how sometimes I see something new I did not see the time before too.

Taking pictures definitely makes the walk go faster. I love your photos!

  6. Sounds like those walks are productive in more than one way. That’s great that you’ve been able to see more of the beauty in your neighborhood. Do you have a fitbit? I LOVE mine for counting steps and getting competitive.
