Known for presenting spectacular fireworks displays during the Independence Day holiday weekend for several years, Upper Darby Township presents its 2016 concert and fireworks show on Sunday, July 3 at the stadium behind Upper Darby High School, 601 N. Lansdowne Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA.
Gates open at 7 pm on July 3rd. Admission is $4 per person. Children under 5 are free. Tickets are sold at the gate only. Free parking at Upper Darby High School. Rain date: July 5th.
Before the fireworks begin, Upper Darby Township invites the public to come and enjoy a fun and patriotic line-up of performances.
The schedule of events and performances on Sunday, July 3:
7:00 pm – Gates open
7:30 pm – The British Invasion Years – An exciting band that has toured throughout the east coast and celebrates 1960s rock and pop hits from both sides of the Atlantic!
8:30 pm – The Upper Darby Sousa Band – For over twenty-five years the UD Sousa Band has performed the great American patriotic marches by John Philip Sousa.
9:00 pm – The Upper Darby Shooting Stars – The song and dance performance troupe features some of the region’s most talented teens and young adults!
9:20 pm – Fireworks display. An exciting assortment of ground displays and aerial fireworks set to uplifting songs and soundtracks.
The Upper Darby Performing Arts Center is jointly sponsored by Upper Darby Township Mayor and Council and the Upper Darby School District Board of School Directors through the Department of Recreation and Leisure Services.
