J is for

…Justice.

I may be premature but I am so relieved that George Zimmerman is going to be held accountable for his shooting of Trayvon Martin. The Florida special prosecutor is charging George with second degree murder.   I hope that race does not cloud the issue and that justice will be served.

While I feel relieved that this case is getting so much attention, what about the 95 (or so) murders that have happened in the Philadelphia area since the beginning of the year? Our young people are dying and its a terrible epidemic. but I’m at a loss. I talk to my kid,

I hope justice comes for all and that our country can start the much needed dialogue about race.
