A while back a friend mentioned in Facebook the hooping class she was taking and I couldn’t wrap my mind around the idea. My idea of hula hooping was a cheap plastic tube with a bead in it and the circle never staying up around my waist or middle. Hooping always frustrated me as a child and I was sure that it was something that needed to be avoided as an adult. The more I heard about hooping the more I wanted to try it. The opportunity presented itself as I planned my Spring programs. A flyer posted in the lobby of my job was offering a hooping class and after calling Sarah for more information and we scheduled a class. The class was today and I am hooked!
There were no plastic hoops for this class! Sarah had a variety of sizes of hoops for the class to use and she explained that she made them herself. Some were smaller and some were she explained that we can make them ourselves. The class was fun! My heart was pumping, I got a good workout and I can’t wait until the next time. Upon further research I found that hooping can burn 400-600 calories an hour, my legs and core feel like I got a good workout and I worked up a sweat.
I am excited for next week. I had a check up today and let’s just say there is WAY more of Rachee to love! More later,
