So, here goes:
The first cuppa each day.
Before I sip, before I doctor it up, the first thing I do is take a long, leisurely inhale.
2. Freshly baked cookies
I don’t bake often but when I do, its all about chocolate chip cookies.
3. A new notebook
The possibilities that come from a fresh blank notebook. A journal? Thoughts jotted down? Lists of things I want to think about and tackle?
Something about the sweet spot where head meets neck. I always scoop up visiting babies and take a nice long whiff.
5. Fresh basil
I am proud to share that the basil plant I have at work still thrives almost a year later! And when I am pruning it or watering it and I get a blast of basil…Hmmm!
Sadly my peppermint plant did not thrive as the basil did and suffered from my black thumb. I have some growing wild in my garden at home. Such a calming aroma when the windows are open and the wind is blowing just right.
Particularly the bubbly cheese of a fresh baked pie.
I think I may have to get a slice for lunch!
The Bee and I often eat breakfast for dinner and waffles are on the menu. The gooey, sticky syrup is a nice sweet touch for the end of our day.
This too suffered the fate of my peppermint. However when it grows another olfactory sensation!
10. Fried Chicken
Yes, yes, yes.
