Yo, Vikings! Live at @UDSummerStage

The first time I met Judy Schachner, she shared the story of daughter building a Viking ship in her back yard and how she turned it into the book Yo, Vikings! (use my affiliate link to get a copy for yourself). Now the book has been turned into a live show which is being performed by the Upper Darby Summer Stage!

Click here to visit Judy’s website and then continue reading below for more information about the play.

If you love pirates and adventure, you’ll LOVE Yo,Vikings! The book –  by NY Times bestselling author of the Skippyjon Jones series, Judy Schachner – comes to life on the stage in this exciting and heartwarming musical. The delightfully entertaining show, packed with fun-filled songs, tells a riveting tale about a determined little girl, Emma, who saves the library with a real Viking ship from her backyard (true story!) and how far her imagination can take her.

A Summer Stage show is a unique family experience. Young audience members are invited to come early to performances to participate in fun pre-show activities and stay after the show to meet cast members. Free babysitting is available for those who are too young to enjoy the show.

NYTimes Bestseller and author of the Skippyjon Jones series (as well as Yo, Vikings), Judy Schachner will be on site to autograph copies of the book!

It’s a pleasure to meet Judy! Each time I’ve had an opportunity to meet her she has been a friendly soul!

During the visit to the library she purchased books for kids who had no money and even took this picture with me and a very young Bee.
