or…Get Your Art On

This weekend marks the Tenth Annual Lansdowne Arts Festival. The Lansdowne Arts Festival is a weekend-long event featuring an array of creative and performing arts, including painting, crafts, sculpture, jewelry, live music, demonstrations, and children’s events. In the past I’ve been able to meet fantastic local artists and art has become possible instead of something that I don’t understand.
The festival is held rain or shine and this year The Cat’s Pajamas will be among the musical guests! (We had them at the library last summer to a crowd of over 200!). Another musical guest I’m looking forward to is Nex Millen Restrospective. Nex Millen is a local DJ who played last year. His sound is a nice mix of R&B, soul, alternative.
The art classes and demos are plentiful. There are offerings for all ages and there is a small fee for the classes.
A couple of things to note:
This year This year the Festival is offering specialized classes for families. The classes are available for a small fee and for information please check re.
If you decide to go:
the Twentieth Century Club is located at 84 S Lansdowne Ave
There is free parking at either of the Septa parking lots and on the street.
For more information email Jennifer Hoff and visit the website.
Unleash your inner artist…or at least get some great visual stimulation.
