This day was made for me!
Currently I am reading Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. I loved Greek Mythology as a child and continue to adore it. The Bee even loves it after he class studied Ancient Greece.
With the Percy Jackson books, I find that all of the Gods, Goddess, demi and Minor gods come to life in a way that is both fun (really, Poseidon as your dad?) and encouraging (as in I want to explore more mythology from other cultures.
This weekend I plan to finish up book four of the Percy Jackson series, listen to another childhood favorite, Ellen Raskin’s The Westing Game (I always wanted to be one of the characters: Turtle), and start one of the books for my book club, Omar Tyree’s Flyy Girl.
