I wanted to brag give an update on my stash busting for No Spend September. I have been quite the busy knit chick!

Update

My sweater was coming along quite well but it’s on project time out until I figure what to do with it. Somewhere along the way I messed up the shoulders and now my sweater is more appropriate for a T-Rex and not a grown woman. It works up quickly but I am feeling a bit bummed by the idea of frogging and starting all over again.

Wins:
Hats!

Yesterday during my library’s social needleworking program I made a hat! Then I finished another one while watching a movie!

That’s TWO hats in one day!

*waves muppet arms*

They were created using bulky yarn and Clover Takumi Bamboo Circular 16-Inch Knitting Needles, Size 15
in an effort to create something like this hat from Etsy but couldn’t quite figure out how to make the band. Instead, I channeled this hat from Lion Brand, added a few extra rows, popped on one of the buttons I scored from Rosie’s Yarn Cellar’s going out of business sale and boom!

I am pleased and The Bee, who has appropriated the hat for her own, is obviously pleased.

The last thing I am working on is a cowl/head warmer using Coats Yarn Red Heart Reflective Yarn, Black and Cozy Wool Yarn, 4.5 oz in Black by Loops & Threads. Since it’s getting cooler and darker I wanted to make sure nothing stopped my wogs.

I need to look up how to make an “i-cord” and I will be ready to rock it!

I would like to see a picture of the sweater. That was such a funny mishap. You are very skilled with those needles.
