No”Bunny” Loves You More

I usually do not make a big deal out of Easter at the library. Spring Break normally falls this week and in the past I have taken time off to spend with my daughter. This year with so many snow days she had school and I found myself asked about Easter.

I try to avoid religious celebrations because I am not totally comfortable talking about religion, I do not want to offend someone with my ignorance about religion and then I would feel like I was obligated to celebrate each religious thing.

Today we read books about bunnies and created masks as a storytime souvenir.

Materials:

  • Paper plates
  • Construction Paper of different colors
  • Scissors
  • Craft Sticks
  • Crayons

Instructions:

  • Take a paper plate and cut the center out.

  • Using construction paper, cut out ears and whiskers to use as ears and whiskers.

  • Glue these to the plate

Add a stick (if you’d like) and decorate to your preference (as some of my library friend did!)
