#NetflixKids Guide to the End of the Winter Olympics #ad #spon

The final tallies are in, medal counts shared and programming has returned to normal. The Winter Olympics are over and I’m a little sorry. I didn’t watch much of the games but would listen as my teen kept me up to date with figure skating, Shaun White and snow boarding and a new desire to learn to ski. She keeps talking about what it would be like to have the world’s eyes watching as one performed and I was reminded that track season starts soon and once agin we would be caught up in the whirlwind of meets, practice and working hard.

As the snow clears and the weather still tries to figure out what it wants to do (snow…warm up…ice…oh my!) here are a few movies and television shows streaming on Netflix to share with the young athletes in your life.

The Short Game
2. The Kid
3. The Pistol
4. A Mile in His Shoes
5. Winning Favor
6. The Mighty Macs
7. Like Mike 2: Streetball
8. Air Bud: World Pup
9. Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch (not pictured)
10. Air Bud Spikes Back (not pictured)

With your younger athletes check out these titles to spark a discussion on  inspiration and teamwork.

The Games may be over but you can make up competitions to award medals to of your own! here is an easy to make, oven-baked clay medals that can be used again and again. Click here to learn how to make your own.

Can’t get enough? Check out The Fabulous Ice Age, a new documentary available only on Netflix that tells the never-before-told history of everyone’s favorite Olympic event, figure skating. This documentary would be good for older teens to check out.

  1. We have Netflix and watch it regularly (we’ve had it for years). Actually, we just watched the Sandlot, which is a great movie!

  2. Stefani says:

I have been a Netflix customer for a couple years now. I love finding new movies and shows to watch.

  3. Rachael says:

I used to have Netflix. Now I have Amazon Prime. But I am thinking about getting Netflix again for the variety.

  4. Victoria Farrell-Gollihugh says:

My children love LOVE love to watch movies and play games. I limit them drastically, though, because I know the imagination is far greater. Still, Netflix can have some wonderful benefits, too.

  5. Tori says:

We really enjoyed Netflix while staying with my parents, but we also watched way more TV than I prefer. I’m relatively sure I need to develop better self-control before using such a service.

  6. Even though i have Netflix, I usually just use it to watch Doctor Who and Supernatural, lol. I’m not really a sports fan at all….unless it’s Alpine sniping. That’s a sport I can get behind!

  7. I’ll have to look into streaming some of these shows/movies. Netflix is truly awesome. I love the concept and how easy they are to work with.

  8. Shell says:

My kids like the Air Bud movies. Another sports one they like is the Mighty Ducks.

  9. We love Netflix!!! Have had it for years before they had all the awesome stuff on it now.

  10. Jaime says:

We have Netflix and are HUGE fans of Super Why! My son’s preferences (or his “channel”) has been so helpful.

We have netflix. I love that my son can have his own special area in netflix.

  24. Paige says:

That’s so cute that there’s a little area for kids shows that are featuring something related to sports/olympics! Is it bad that I’d rather watch the kid shows? Lol!
