He has been called the greatest chef in the United States. His restaurant, Le Bec-Fin, was one of the most renowned restaurants in the world for 42 years. Now, Georges Perrier will help guide the careers of young culinarians at Walnut Hill College.

As a Master in Residence, Georges Perrier will teach classes, host special dinners, and lead workshops for professional chefs at the nationally-acclaimed Walnut Hill College.

Since 1967, Le Bec-Fin and the cuisine of Georges Perrier captivated legions of celebrities, dignitaries, leaders, and lucky guests who experienced lifetime memories of true innovation and elegance.
On Tuesday, May 23rd, I had the opportunity to meet legendary chef Georges Perrier during a meet and greet to announce the news of his new position. With a menu of favorites from Le Bec Fin, fellow bloggers and local media were able to speak with Chef, taste a sample of food inspired by Le Bec-Fin and learn about the wonderful opportunities the College will be offering with their new Master in Residence.

During the meet and greet I had a chance to speak with Chef Perrier and he shared his excitement about working with the students.

Chef wants to share his expert and knowledge with the student and enjoys the passion of these young chefs. In face, during the meet and greet a student on break came over to meet Georges and get a picture with him!

One of events Chef Perrier will host is “Le Bec-Fin Redux,” in which Chef Perrier will work with the chef faculty and students of Walnut Hill College to present a menu of Le Bec-Fin classics along with fantastic French wines.

The six course dinner with wine pairings will include

Snails with Champagne Sauce & Hazelnut Chartreuse Butter

Lobster Bisque with Scotch Whisky

Foie Gras with Szechuan Peppercorns

Endives with Crab Salad

Potato and Roquefort Tartlets

Walnut Hill College President. Daniel Liberatoscioli, created this tour for the students in 1986; these tours are included on he price of tuition and makes Walnut Hill College the only college in the United Staes to offer such an experience. This summer marks the first time that the public is invited to join the journey! this trip will include visits to notable farms, vineyards, champagne houses, and, of course, restaurants!

Guests will not only get to enjoy the sights and flavors of France but will also have the benefit to expert knowledge and the company of Georges Perrier every step of the way!
