It’s been quiet on the blog due to me attending the annual library conference for Pennsylvania and then having to rush back to mom/home/work/school duties. I’m not fussing; just throwing out there that I have been a tad busy and a good busy it is!
Anywho, here are some things that have been my favorite this week
Sharon, Mom of 6 started a boot camp to help people get organized.
I love it!
As many know, organization is a huge, huge problem of mine. Six weeks seem doable, possible and the tips are not so overwhelming.
This week I am working on paper clutter.
Gulp!
At work I have actually cleared my desk and it feels really good to see the surface and actually be able to work. I’ve been putting things in its place, chucking things that I will never use and not feeling so overwhelmed when I think of all that I will be doing.
I’ve joined a crochet a long!
I have finally finished my wrap (that post will be up soon) and was kinda in crochet limbo. I was working on the M&M scarf and ran out of the vibrant colors that it calls for. There a few random things on my hooks but nothing was really inspiring me. Then I saw the call for the CAL and decided to join in.
Evernote is hosting this CAL, the idea is to use Evernote to help keep projects organized. (Disclaimer: I still don’t know what I am doing with Evernote!)
Anywho, I picked the Berroco Beseme scarf to work. It’s loopy and looks pretty cool.
Total aside: You know how you go to a movie and there is an advertisement in which people could use the theater for meetings? The conference that I attended totally did! And while away I was able to see two movies, Looper (which stars my newest crush, JGL!!!) and Won’t Back Down which was pretty good but predictable.
Sadly, my opinion was not original and this movie had the worst opening in history! The idea of the movie was good but apparently unions felt that they were being bashed. I dunno. I’ve worked with people who are completely apathetic, people who should have looked for new jobs and have been that apathetic over worked person. Seeing it on the big screen was something else. The movie was slanted while not really union bashing, was not kind to union folk.
You know, fat people, myself included, get so much help!
People are always telling us how much weight we’ve gained, how we should just lose weight and other helpful tidbits to let us know that our collective fat asses are, well, fat.
Instead of apologizing for being heavy, a CBS affiliate anchor didn’t get defensive or apologetic. She let her attacker have it!
Yo!
She was eloquent, she was non plussed and she told him all about it! Bonus fact: Her brother is Ron Livingston from Office Space!
Science can be intimidating. Science combined with candy is awesome!
So you know what I am doing with the library kids right?
I’ve got to motor (Heathers was on last week, can’t you tell).
Enjoy and let me know what your favorites from the week are.
