When The Bee was an avid Disney Junior watcher, we would catch the shorts between our favorite shows. One short was Choo Choo Soul with Genevieve! Choo Choo Soul and Genevieve were unlike the other shows and shorts we were watching at the time. Yes, Genevieve was singing educational songs but she was singing them in a fresh way that called for  dancing and bopping while we watched. The Bee has since moved on but whenever someone says “All Aboard” we respond with “Choo Choo!”

Upper Darby Performing Arts Center is proud to announce a live performance by Disney Junior superstar Genevieve Goings. Genevieve performs the “Do You Know?” concert featuring songs from her album of the same name.  The performance takes place on January 14 at 11 am at Upper Darby Performing Arts Center.

Genevieve Goings is the host of the popular Disney Junior TV show, “Choo Choo Soul;” host of Radio Disney Junior; and an international recording artist of songs ideal for preschoolers and their families.

In her exciting live show Genevieve engages the young audience to join her using her unique brand of “Kids Music with Soul.” The show is approximately 60 minutes and appropriate for children ages 2 and a half and up.

Tickets for the live performance range from $11 – $14 and may be purchased online at www.udpac.org or by calling 610.622.1189. Upper Darby Performing Arts Center is located at 601 N. Lansdowne Avenue in Drexel Hill.

Genevieve offers a performance that is jam-packed with songs for the whole family. She invites the young audience members to sing along to catchy, uniquely funky and cool songs that teach life skills such as learning a telephone number and telling time.

In a recent “Kids Can Groove” interview Genevieve states, “Children love to be a part of something, and with a live concert, they can! There are so many things going on at a live show that it takes the entertainment experience to a new level. Kids can see live performers, lights, dancing, other children, and more! I believe that seeing a live show opens up a child’s mind by involving them in the act of making music.”

The singer/songwriter has been successfully entertaining young people for over ten years and is committed to providing an excellent live, musical experience for young audience members and their families.

The Upper Darby Performing Arts Center and Upper Darby Summer Stage are jointly sponsored by the Upper Darby School District Board of School Directors and Upper Darby Township Mayor and Council through the Department of Recreation and Leisure Services.
