Say It, "Rah-shay"

Words and thoughts from Rachée

Chasing Joy in Matters of Money #CJBL

January 6, 2018

I’ve been blogging for nearly nine years and lately I have been feeling stalled. The words do not come as easily as they once did and my blog lies dormant, waiting for an update. I’ve joined a few online groups and read through some blogger courses but nothing is making me feel that desire to write once more. But then my friend Arlett messaged me about her upcoming Chasing Joy Brunch and Learn series and suddenly I am feeling like there is some hope. Arlett offered me the opportunity to attend in exchange for sharing the event across my social media platforms and I jumped at the chance to get my blogging mojo back.

The Chasing Joy Brunch and Learn (CJBL) hosted by my friend and Chasing Joy owner Arlett Hartie, will be focusing on Money Moves. At the brunch we will focus on financial planning (budgeting, debt management, investing, and more), real estate investing and working with real estate agents.

While in the past I have written my blog for fun and the experiences that I have been able to share with my family, I love the idea of getting out of my comfort zone and learning more about making money. The single time I did attend the CJBL, I left feeling inspired, invigorated, with a fresh perspective for my words. (The FOMO part of me kicks myself imagining “What if” had my schedule allowed me the opportunity to attend regularly the brunches.)

This year’s Chasing Joy Brunch and Learn will feature male speakers. Ian Scott, Adrian Worrell, and Shane Hartie. Each speaker brings a level of expertise in the variety of topics related to Money Matters.

The brunch will take place Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM at Maggiano’s King of Prussia. In addition to feeding your mind get ready for a yummy spread. If you are thinking abut attending, don’t wait! Tickets are being sold until Wednesday, January 10th. Use my special access code “RacheeSentMe” for $15 dollars off of your registration.

r’s note: I was offered a free seat at the luncheon in exchange for sharing this event on my blog. All opinions are my own an factual.

Some stuff I said before

Stuff I Wrote Before

Rachée Rundown 4/11

As the inimitable Sam Jackson said, "Hold onto your butts" your girl is running a half marathon!
It’s a refrigerator clean out #meatlessmonday. Tonight it’s tofu marinated in sesame oil, rice vinegar and soy sauce. Pulled out the wok and added broccoli, mushrooms, carrots, shallots and onions. Diced up some ginger and a homemade marinade.
This is 100.
A quick procrastirun. I have several things that I should be doing but instead I did a run. About to procrasticlean and may even procrasticraft before doing that thing.
A trio of Ro and photos in which I look exactly like my sister. Yes. We’re twins and while we look alike we don’t always LOOK alike.
Dutch baby redux for a lazy Sunday breakfast before doing all the things.
