Ouch!
Started exercising again.
Not the I am a runner, yet I never run, gym rat who never goes to the gym, type of routine. No. I have scheduled a time, made necessary strategies and steps to make it happen. Months ago my friend Greg helped me come up with a workout that is designed to help me get back into the groove, slooooowly get back into shape and realistically .set so that I can lose weight at a safe clip. For two weeks I was a true attendee at the Temple of the Barbell and furiously following the plan but one day I was running late for work one day, told myself that I would follow the plan up later and then fast forward a month, a bag (three) of Halloween candy later and the siren song creating the perfect ass groove on my couch and the five pound weights are suddenly causing me pain.
So far it’s not too bad. A little sore; but I feel a bit energized, excited and cautious. having been down this road before I know that if I place too much on one day it will all fall to pot.
Routine:
5 pound weights
Arms:
Bicep curls
Hammer Curls
21’s (also for biceps)
Tricep press
Tricep kickbacks
Military Press
Shoulder raises
Upright row
2 sets each 8-15 reps.
I’m going to take it one day at a time.
Workout plan for the rest of the week:
Thursday: Yoga
Friday: Lower body
Saturday: Cardio (walk with The Bee)
Sunday: Cardio (walk with The Bee)
