Belly Busters: P’unk Burger

Say it Rah-shay By Mar 23, 2015 23 Comments

A few weeks ago Effin Guy and I visited P’unk Burger and oh! My! Waistline is the food scrumptous!

From their website:

A neighborhood as authentic as South Philadelphia deserves a burger that’s equally authentic. Nothing artificial. Nothing you can’t pronounce. Our burgers are made from humanely-raised, grass-fed cows that are antibiotic, pesticide, and hormone-free.  Our seafood is wild-caught. Our sodas are fair trade. Our ice cream is locally sourced.

It may not be fast. But it is food.

I ordered the BIG MAN ON CAMPUS which is beef stuffed with American Cheese topped with more American, Double Garlic Insanity Bacon (from 1732 Meats!) Lettuce, Tomato and Red Onion.

They also serve fried pickles!!! (I got half pickles, half sweet potato fries.)

Effin Guy was all about the regular burger and fries.

While we waited for our food there are classic video games to play.

And outlets are near each table for convenient charging of your device.

These milkshakes DO bring all the boys to the yard. The Black and White is made with Nutella and vanilla ice cream!

Gratuitous bad selfie because we are adorkable!

When you go:

P’unk Burger is located at 1823 East Passyunk Avenue.

Hours of operation
Sunday – Thursday 10am to 10pm
Friday – Saturday 10am to 3am

It’s cash only; there is an ATM available if you are only carrying plastic.

Parking is crazy but so worth the trip. There is metered street parking and a lot within walking distance.

There are dairy free and gluten free options! My picky teen got a cheeseburger that she ate and enjoyed. Her dairy allergy makes it hard to eat out at times but she was all about this place, asking when we would be going again.

Drool over their yummy Instagram photos.

Enjoy and wear your stretchy pants.

I've never been to an establishment with games built into the table. I visit Philly from time to time and will add this place to my list. I went to Geno's last time I was there and was very dissappointed.
