Also known as “Where have you been Rachée ?!”
The thing that I swore up and down that would *never* happen to me, happened to me: I could not access my site and I had not backed it up! There was some error on the site and each time I would navigate to the site I was unable to get into Say it, “Rah-shay” and do updates and such. I thought all was lost.
Blergh!
I have been (had, still am) toying with the idea that maybe, just maybe it is time to let this space go, start fresh or, gasp!, not write at all. The Rachée that I was when I started this space has morphed into a different person. But my friend Kingsley (check out his work ay Halucion) and my new hosting company (My New Blog) are patient folk who walked me through accessing my site and allowing me access once again so it was time to think about why I should be here (in this space. Not Earth…a whole other conversation!)
My “why” has changed. My blogging has morphed from a fun thing I did to hoping it would be my ticket away from an unfulfilling day job to feeling like it was a chore, so I let it go. When I started running, I imagined this space would be a place to record the highs and lows of running but I began to heavily rely on IG and FB for sharing and sometimes I have to remember that social media isn’t a diary. But, this blog is sorta like a diary or a journal, and I’m back to share and write and make sure I back it up (my blog and perhaps dat azz) and entertain you with running and kidney things (this may not be entertaining) and other things because me.
So welcome back and buckle up and let’s do a thing called blogging.
