Dudes!
Jem and the Holograms is being made into a movie!
Ohmahgah! Ohmahgah! Ohmahgah!
I am so excited about this and channeled my inner tween when my friend Veronica shared this article from Slash Film about the casting. The Bee was excited and has made all kinds plans to see this movie. The actress playing Shana is Aurora Perrineau, who is the daughter of Harold Perrineau, who is 50. FIFTY.
Wow. Harold is sipping from that fountain of youth that I need to get down with.
Bee tee dubs… I have a giveaway for three free months of Netflix on this post I wrote about Jem’s rockin’ tunes!
Season two of Moone Boy is now available on Hulu Plus!
About Moone Boy: Childhood sucks. Imaginary friends rule. “Moone Boy” is a quirky comedy about 12-year-old Martin Moone and his bearded, sarcastic, imaginary friend Sean (Chris O’Dowd, “Bridesmaids”). Martin’s imaginary pal plays the banjo, writes bad love poetry, and helps Martin navigate the challenges of his eccentric childhood. This semi-autobiographical series, written by and starring O’Dowd, was a critical hit in the UK and is now exclusively on Hulu.
Moone Boy is a coming of age story that is fun to watch, silly and at times, cringe worth. The charming part of this show is ever optimistic Martin Moone, and his imaginary friend Sean Murphy, and how Martin deals with growing up.
The trailer is below.
My friend Brandi, aka Mama Knows It All, wrote this great post about blogging while momming (My words). In the rush to compete with other bloggers some bloggers (me) feel the need to whip out my camera during moments that really don’t need to be blogged about. Brandi makes a fantastic case for sometimes just being in the moment, something I need to be more mindful of during downtime with The Bee.
In less than two months I will be knee deep in Summer Reading at the library.
Boo! Hiss!
It’s not that I don’t enjoy summer reading at my library it’s that I wish I were the parent headed to the library instead of the person running arund putting it all together. That’s not true. I do enjoy crtating a program that will be edutaining but I worry myself so much and for nothing. Summer usually rocks.
I am dragging my feet to get the program done but Pinterest has some great ideas for displays that I want to try:
Follow Rachée Fagg’s board Display ideas on Pinterest.
And that’s what I’ve been clicking on!
To summerize: Jem, Moone Boy, Blogging while Momming and Displays!

I heard they were making Jem into a movie and I am not sure how I feel about it. I mean the cartoon was SO awesome that I am leery about the story being ruined somehow.
I have not seen this show but will check it out.
Is it sad that I know nothing or never heard of Moone or Jem?
Never heard of this, I need to check it out, it sounds awesome!
Good luck with putting together the summer reading program. I know the parents in your area must really appreciate all your hard work!
I’m excited that Jem and the Holograms is being made into a movie! I hope it lives up to the show.
I’d never heard of this show before, but it looks interesting.
That sounds awesome. I am looking forward to The Moone show.

I heard people very excited about it today. I do not remember the cartoon.
I haven’t heard of it before, I would like to see it though.
Wow, sounds like you have been a very busy bee online… Ha!
We sign up for all the summer reading programs: library, Barnes & Noble, etc. That is what we mostly focus on.
This does sound very interesting, I will have to check this out.
I have never heard of it before, but it sounds interesting. Glad you are excited!
It sounds like there’s a lot of humor in this one. I’ll check it out!
I loved Jem when I was little! I had all the dolls and the guitar stage!
Moone Boy sounds like it could be fun to watch. I’ll check it out! And Jem sounds like a movie my niece would enjoy.
NO WAY!?! Jem?!? I am SO going to see that!!
