One of my Forty Fitness Goals was to become a Fitfluential Blogger and last week I got the official welcome letter! They gave me a purdy badge, a sweet welcome e-mail and the desire to get moving again. After finding more excuses than I care to share for not working out, becoming a Fitfluential blogger made me realize that I need to walk the walk if I am going to talk the talk.
My friend Arlett, who writes the blog Chasing Joy, is working towards 100 days of fitness and her Instagram pics and Facebook posts have been so motivating that I wanted to set a similar goal. I am going to start with a 30 day challenge and work my way up to 100.
In addition to the workouts I have been doing from Scott Schmalz’s Get Skinny: The Six-Week Body Challenge, I thought about what I can be doing while watching television and while perusing Pinterest came across some challenges for 30 days for squats, planks, push-ups and crunches. It seems a bit ambitious but when I really take into account just how much television that I watch each day, an extra ten minutes or so to work out seems like a no-brainer.
The challenge will officially begin April 1st (no fooling!) but I gave the challenge a soft run today. Aside from Lil trying to crawl under me as I planked (joke’s on her if I fall) and The Bee asking me what I was doing, it went well. A few other friends are going for the full one hundred which I may or may continue with when April comes to a close.
Want to join me?
Below is the plan that I will follow. (I had some issues embedding the ONE pin; it is the first one called “We Challenge You.” Feel free to peruse some of my other ideas if you’d like). I printed the image below out and have it next to my television. When I am catching up on my shows (and I love me some shows) I will do that day’s work. I printed a second copy to take to the gym so that I won’t “forget” to add these to my workout towards the end of the month when the workout become a little longer.

I think this is a challenge I can accept–100 days is such a grand way to start 30 is a more flabby( <–me) friendly number
